A Short Introduction to RapidMiner

RapidMiner is a really useful data science software that provides an integrated environment for machine learning. It simplifies uncluttered and disorganized data into optimal data sets for predictive analysis. For that reason, it is widely used amongst businesses because of its highly readable and user-friendly graphical interface.
Named one of the top 100 business intelligence software, RapidMiner was first developed in 2006 by a company called RapidMiner. It was originally known as YALE (Yet Another Learning Environment). As data science gain popularity and the need for better business analytics tools surge, RapidMiner has undergone major upgrades in its functions and data preparation capabilities.

A detailed tutorial for RapidMiner is available on the company's website. A very nice feature that RM has is that it allows users to connect and export their results to databases. Common databases used in RapidMiner include: Cassandra, MongoDB and MySQL. If you want to dig into specifics of the program, an extremely detailed user manual is also available for download.
